SDOE
Tournament
Several
events have been held in the past few years which have allowed
SDOE pilots the opportunity to enjoy the thing which SDOE
does so well, that is online play. Our hopes are the SDOE
Tournament will be but one more chapter in the book that forms
the legacy of events this sim has already seen.
Although
set-up for Squad play, SDOE Tournament will allow every player
who wants to compete to do so. Those of you who do not have
a regular squad to fly with will be assigned a squad for the
tournament. Squads will then compete against each other in
missions pre-made for the Tournament. Those missions are located
on these pages.
All the
rules and details will be outlined on the guidlines
page soon. Questions which are not answered in the rules
can be forwarded to pvt.roger@home.com
While
scores will be kept for missions won, and missions lost, and
one squad will eventually be declared the winner, the focus
of the Tournament will be the fun and camaraderie which has
always been the hallmark of this sim.
Because
ultimately when the Tournament is over, we are hopeful that
new relationships will have been formed, new players will
have tasted the thrill of online flying for the first time,
and the battles fought will be only memories turned into war
stories told over a cold drink, when that happens, then we
will all be the winners.
